As a post holder, you will add value by being accountable to Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for Compliance/Quality Assurance oversight of the Engineering department CAR M Subpart G, CAR-M Subpart I and CAR 145 approvals and ensusing the continued compliance with GCAA requirements, while looking to improve overall standards within the organization.
Accountabilities
- Develop and manage a Compliance/Quality assurance oversight programme and all associated systems and resource structure to ensure continued compliance with applicable GCAA regulations and EAT requirements.
- Establish and maintain an effective auditing and surveillance system within EAT to ensure continued compliance with applicable GCAA regulations, and any other regulatory requirements applicable to EAT activities.
- Establish and maintain a system for tracking responses to, and closure of, quality audit findings from the EAT Compliance/Quality Assurance Programme, from the GCAA, other regulators, and from third party external audits.
- Provide appropriate and comprehensive audit finding responses to the GCAA, other regulators, and other external parties in order to ensure the timely and effective closure of audits carried out.
- Liaise with the GCAA and be the focal point of contact on matters relating to the CAR-M & CAR-145 approvals of Etihad Aviation Training and maintenance engineer licensing communication and applications.
- Be responsible for the establishment, management, and control of the organisation’s Authorisation system for Engineering staff, to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Set and maintain high standards of qualification, technical competency and training while meeting the development needs of Etihad Aviation Training.
- Manage the initial and on-going approval of suppliers through the Etihad Aviation Training Approved suppliers list, in conjunction with EAT’s Engineering and the Stores and Procurement Manager.
Education & Experience
- Post holder must have a business appropriate degree preferably in engineering and/or a valid aircraft maintenance engineer licence, or other formal technical aircraft engineering qualification.
- Formal quality assurance management qualifications required.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ airline industry experience, including at least four (4) years’ in Quality Management
