Job Overview
A Planning Supervisor is responsible for handling E2E SC activities for the DPS franchise including but not limited to:
- Demand planning including key events management – Direct responsibility for Trauma/PT/CMF and through team for other franchises of DPS.
- Collaborate and align cross functional partners to meet the franchise needs in short terms on order fulfillment and in long term to the growth strategy,
- Setting and improving SC metrics for ME in line with EMEA metrics definitions
- Bringing efficiencies in franchise SC operations
- E2E instruments/capex management for DPS
Duties & Responsibilities:
Key Performance Indicators
Directly Responsible Individual for Trauma and PT and indirectly for other DPS sub-franchise and instruments.
- S&OP process adherence in line with plan transformation requirements
- Work with deliver team to meet the months sales value and ensure maximum fulfillment
- E2E Instruments Management – develop processes & Metrics.
End-to-end shared KPIs:
- OTIF
- Back orders
- MAPE/BIAS
- NTS Delivery
- Inventory
- SLOB
Main Responsibilities:
Forecasting and S&OP Management:
- Maintain and understand the sales data at different aggregation levels (Brands, Sub-brands, SKUs, variants, sizes, Distribution channels, demand groups and demand locations).
- Gather information and document assumptions based on historical data, business intelligence gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailers, and other sources.
- Produce unconstrained base demand plan utilizing statistical modelling in collaboration with Central planning team.
- Maintain & validate assumptions of activities calendar and events forecasting building blocks.
- Facilitate parts of the S&OP process to gain consensus and alignment with all stakeholders involved in the process to arrive at one unbiased aligned number, practicing the IBP concepts.
- Analyses gaps (financials, capacities, inventory etc.) from unit based plans to drive alignment between business functions.
- Measure and track the forecast accuracy at different levels and initiate action plans to continuously improve forecast accuracy.
- While managing a group of brands, maintain the lead in supporting the S&OP process by ensuring that local market insights are fed back to the Dubai head office throw a two stage process.
- Work with the Medical team to identify, manage and communicate supply criticalities to all stakeholders outside the 3month horizon. Collaborates with the regional supply planners to assign the right priority and action plan to minimize such supply risks.
- Performs SLOB risk analysis and initiate action plans with marketing/commercial team to keep SLOB provisions at minimum level.
- Responsible for Synthes LLC operations – directly for all planning, inventory management & SLOB related activities.
- Locally own NPI project management from supply chain point of view, collaborating with regional supply planners, regulatory, marketing, commercial and operations team to ensure successful on time NPI launch up the point that is handed over to OPEX.
- Manage Phase in Phase Out (PIPO) changes at SKU level and communicate changes to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Data Governance to ensure product codes are created in the system at the right time.
- Collaborate with local and source deliver and CS teams to ensure complete fulfillments,
- Ensure BO are regularly reviewed and executed as early as possible
- Align SC strategy with DPS strategy
- Bring efficiency measures in SC operations across DPS
- Instruments Management – develop processes & Metrics and roll them out with key stakeholders for robust planning, forecasting and utilization.

Required:
- Fluency in English required
- University degree in Engineering, Business Management, or similar.
- Courses in Supply Chain/Logistics
- More than 6 years’ experience, in Supply Chain.
- Hands on experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning and S&OP.
- Experience working with quantitative & qualitative numbers, creating reports
- Expert in Excel, Skilled enough in Word and Power Point
Prefered:
- Fluency in Arabic
- Prior ERP (JD Edwards) experience.
- IBP experience or qualification.
